Leonardo da Vinci once said, “Obstacles cannot crush me. Every obstacle yields to stern resolve. He who is fixed to a star does not change his mind.”
Every time I get stumbled down, I always look back to where I started. I always thought about the reason why I started and the cause that I am for. Sometimes, great things take a long time to yield. I am always reminded by the story of the elephant and the dog. Two of them went into the process of bearing an offspring. Everyday, the mother dog asks the mother elephant that why is it she’s not yet having a baby. The mother dog already gave birth to 3 puppies and on the succeeding quarter another 4 puppies. The mother dog didn’t believe that the elephant was bearing an offspring and as the two years went by, the mother elephant gave birth to an healthy offspring. And at that moment, the mother elephant reminded the mother dog about the value of great things. That when she gave birth to an offspring, the terrain can hear the sound of a walking elephant. When it crosses the road, vehicles and people would stop to witness the great creature walking. Great things take time to grow and evolve. If you feel weak and disappointed, don’t give up on waiting. A little more time of waiting and you will see the sunshine in the morning.
